Halterworth has been a school of choice for many years. We work incredibly hard to ensure that every child is cared for and supported to achieve more than they thought possible. Standards are high, along with the goals we set ourselves, to be a dynamic school where talented staff challenge themselves to learn new skills and to create exciting learning opportunities for all children.
Ofsted grade us as ‘outstanding’ and consistent strong academic achievement and progress over many years is important to us. Whatever a child’s starting point in life we aim to ensure that being part of Halterworth School enriches their lives and ensures a strong grounding for their future. We value our reputation for excellent behaviour and good manners and recognise that confident young children, with resilience to tackle challenges and empathy towards others, will grow into valuable citizens for their communities.
Please take the time to visit us we would welcome the opportunity to share our fantastic school with you. Meet our pupil ambassadors who really enjoying greeting visitors and sharing examples of their work.
“Halterworth Community Primary is an outstanding school which has sustained very high levels of attainment and excellent outcomes for pupils since the last inspection. Leaders and managers pursue excellence relentlessly across all subjects of the school’s performance and have extremely high expectations, which are shared and understood by staff” Ofsted 2010
Halterworth is a National Support School which means we have been selected by the Department for Education to advise and support other schools to improve. Many staff periodically share or coach colleagues in other schools, we firmly believe that this makes our own teaching stronger.
