Welcome to the Halterworth Primary School Web Site

I hope that you will find all the essential information you require if this is your first visit to this site. If you have any particular queries or would like to come to our school then please feel free to make an appointment to talk to me by telephoning or emailing our admin team.

Halterworth is a warm, friendly school which works hard to achieve good standards in learning. Through many opportunities to learn creatively and explore imaginative ideas our children are encouraged to think deeply about their learning. Our staff work as a team, continually reviewing progress and exploring new strategies to inspire our young learners. We recognise the importance of capturing the energy and enthusiasm of children at an early age so that they become life long learners who are able to achieve more than they thought they could.

We value good manners and respect for each other. We are proud of the behaviour of our children who are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings with courtesy and confidence. We want children to develop a wide range of personal qualities – curiosity, self-discipline, courage, honesty, sensitivity, perseverance and independence and to achieve this we provide opportunities to reflect and talk openly about a range of issues both personal and of the wider community.

We have wonderful grounds and well resourced classrooms; hard working staff supported by committed and caring governors. Our children are our top priority: we keep them at the heart of our work and aim to provide a successful and memorable educational experience.
