Corona Virus Update

Dear Parents
In light of recent announcements and the news  surrounding a national response to the coronavirus, we wanted to inform you all that in addition to maintaining a focus on good hygiene in school, through teaching and scheduling hand washing, as well as additional cleaning processes and routines of our school site, we continue to follow advice from the Government and the Department for Education.
At this point in time, the most recent advice from the department for education is:
If you (or your child) have: a new continuous cough OR high temperature (37.8 degrees or higher) you should stay at home for 7 days.
To date we have not been informed of any confirmed cases of coronavirus associated with any pupil or family at school. Should this change, we will follow advice from Public Health England, NHS & Department for Education and communicate our next steps with you.
This is a rapidly changing situation and we want to assure you that we are reviewing the operations and activities we engage in as a school on a daily basis, based on the best advice we can access.
We recognise that there are very many different views, opinions and family circumstances which will affect your concerns about coronavirus. We respect the decisions that you will be making for yourselves and your own family at this time.
For your information, the Department for Education coronavirus helpline is now available to answer questions about COVID-19 relating to education and children’s social care. Staff, parents and young people can contact this helpline as follows:
