School Council

One child is elected by their peers each year to represent their class at fortnightly School Council meetings. The children take part in a range of opportunities to improve their school. They have recently raised over £1000 with a sponsored silence to purchase new playtime equipment. In January 2015 the children achieved their goal of having a school pet… Timmy the tortoise has made quite an impact and is currently living outside Mrs Cottrell’s office in a brand new home! see pictures here…Timmy the Tortoise

We have poems written by the children over the weekend about their new pet Timmy……… Timmy the Tortoise Poem

Green Group

One child from every Key Stage 2 class is elected by their class to represent them at fortnightly meetings where they undertake a range of environmental tasks. This term they are managing new flower beds and clearing litter from the school site.

Charity Group

Once again we offer the opportunity for one child from every class to be part of this fundraising group. The children decide on which charities they wish to support and devise events and activities to hold in school. The last activity was MacMillan Coffee Morning where we raised over £350.

Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO)

A small number of KS2 pupils are elected and trained by Hampshire County Council to become Junior Road safety Officers. They undertake special duties such as leading assemblies and promoting road safety awareness amongst their peers such as posters and mascot designs.
