Thank you for your interest in our school – Halterworth Primary School. I hope that this site will encourage you to visit us and learn more about our work.
Halterworth is an outstanding, vibrant and welcoming school on the outskirts of Romsey in Hampshire. We work hard to achieve high standards in learning, offering many opportunities to learn creatively and explore imaginative ideas. Most importantly to us, children are encouraged to think deeply about their learning. Our staff work as a team, continually reviewing individual progress and exploring new strategies to inspire our young learners.
Your children are our top priority: we keep them at the heart of our work and aim to provide a successful and memorable educational experience.

As the reigning Southern JRock champions of 2014, a brand new year group took on the challenge of defending the title in the first rounds of 2015 at The Southampton Guildhall in February. We were delighted to win this first round and faced some strong competition. Importantly for us we always include all Y5 pupils, many of whom have never danced before; we work them hard to achieve excellence. The whole community of staff & parents work together before and during the event to create a wonderful experience for the children.
On Wednesday 17 June we took part in the Southern regional final for 2015 and were delighted to be awarded first place for the second year in a row. A tremendous achievement as a result of hard work and enthusiasm! Follow this link to see photographs from our winning performance in 2015
